Train your body for how humans actually move

Kinetic Blueprint is an Austin-based training studio focused on human biomechanics, strength, posture and movement.

Rather than looking at muscles or joints in isolation, we look at how the body works together as an interconnected system.

Standing. Walking. Running. Rotating. Throwing.

These are foundational human movement patterns, and they give us valuable information about how your body is currently organizing movement.

Our training is designed to help you build a body that moves more efficiently, produces strength and power more effectively, and better supports the things you want to do outside of the studio.

Why people come to Kinetic Blueprint

There isn't one type of Kinetic Blueprint client. People train with us to:

  • Improve posture and movement mechanics
  • Build strength, power and coordination
  • Address recurring joint pain, discomfort and movement limitations
  • Improve walking and running mechanics
  • Support athletic performance
  • Return to activities they have stopped doing comfortably
  • Better understand how their body moves
  • Continue improving how they move and perform as they age

Some people come to us because something hurts. Others feel great and want to see what their body is capable of. Both belong here.

Our approach

Our training is influenced by Functional Patterns and an understanding of human biomechanics.

Instead of simply asking, "How strong is this muscle?" we also ask: how is your body working together?

We look at relationships throughout the body and how those relationships influence posture and movement. Your feet affect what happens above them. Your pelvis and rib cage influence how forces move through your trunk. Your shoulders don't function independently from your spine. The way these areas coordinate can influence how you stand, walk, run, rotate, throw and produce force.

Training is therefore about more than completing exercises. We work to improve how the brain and body coordinate movement while developing strength within those patterns.

An environment designed with intention

We believe where you train matters, too.

Kinetic Blueprint was intentionally designed beyond the workout itself. We paid attention to the environment you're spending time in, from the air you breathe and the water you drink to the products used throughout the studio, the refreshments available and the spaces where you train and recover. These details weren't added as an afterthought.

The air you breathe

Multiple air filtration units operate throughout the studio to continually filter the indoor environment. Kinetic Blueprint is also a fragrance-free studio. We ask our team and clients to avoid perfumes, colognes and heavily fragranced products while in the space.

The water you drink

Our drinking water is filtered through a reverse osmosis system, giving clients access to filtered water before, during and after training. We even considered the water you shower in: our locker room showers feature Vitamin C filtration as part of the studio experience.

The products we use

We are intentional about the cleaning products used throughout Kinetic Blueprint and prioritize lower-toxicity options wherever possible, from cleaning products to air quality and fragrance.

Training equipment you won't find in a typical gym

Our training floor includes specialized and proprietary equipment selected around the way we train human movement. You'll see cables, bodyweight training, specialized tools and equipment designed to create training options that look very different from a traditional gym floor.

Recovery built into the space

Depending on your service or membership, Kinetic Blueprint offers access to an infrared sauna, the Halotherapy HaloBooth, red light therapy, compression recovery and a dedicated recovery space.

What you eat and drink here matters, too

Our refreshment and vending selections are intentionally curated rather than filled with conventional gym snacks and drinks. We prioritize local and organic options when available. You'll find complimentary refreshments as well as additional food and beverage options available for purchase.

What happens at your consultation?

Your consultation is the starting point, a conversation designed to understand where you are, where you want to go, and begin mapping a blueprint around your individual needs. It's not a workout.

Because you've already learned a little about us, we can spend more of your appointment learning about you. We want to understand:

  • What brought you here?
  • What are you experiencing now?
  • What would you like to be able to do better?
  • What have you already tried?
  • What has or hasn't worked?
  • Where would you like your body to be 6-12 months from now?

From there, we can begin determining what your next step at Kinetic Blueprint could look like. Come ready to talk about you.

The body doesn't work in isolation

One of the principles behind our training is that your body functions as an interconnected system. Muscles, fascia, joints and your nervous system work together to coordinate movement. You may hear us talk about myofascial chains, interconnected relationships through the body that help transfer force and coordinate movement from one area to another.

This is one reason we don't automatically look only at the location where someone feels discomfort or limitation. We want to understand the bigger movement pattern. How is the body organizing itself? Where is it producing force well? Where is it compensating? How can training improve those relationships?

Results are the point

We don't want you to take our word for it. Results vary by individual, starting point, training consistency and other factors.

People who trained here

Case 01

Jordan

Runner 路 Back Pain to Fastest Marathon

Jordan came to us because recurring back pain was beginning to affect the thing he loved most鈥攔unning.

Together, we focused on improving the way his body moved so he could continue doing what he loves. Today, nearly 40 years old, he recently ran the fastest marathon of his life鈥攈is 9th marathon overall. For many people, pain becomes something they learn to live with. We believe it's worth understanding why it's happening before accepting it as normal. 馃搷Austin, TX #AustinTexas #AustinFitness #Running #Marathon #FunctionalPatterns

Before you come in, think about this

Your consultation is much more useful when we understand what matters to you personally. You don't need to write anything down, but spend a minute thinking about:

  • What brought you to Kinetic Blueprint?
  • Is there anything your body currently keeps you from doing comfortably or confidently?
  • What have you tried before?
  • What would you like to improve?
  • Is there something you used to be able to do that you would like to get back to?
  • If training goes well, what would meaningful progress look like to you 6-12 months from now?

There is no "right" answer. Your answers give us a much better starting point for mapping out what your blueprint could look like.
